Interior Painting

1. Protection & coverage
        – Furniture and items are moved away from the walls into the middle of room where they are covered with plastic.  Drop sheets are used to protect the areas where the walls will be rolled
2.  Setup
       – Drop sheets are laid out in the designated work area. All tools and equipment are  brought to the designated area and kept organized and out of the way throughout the duration of project. Extra lighting is brought in where needed to insure proper lighting and high quality finish.
3. Wall & Trim Prep (subject to customer requests)
 –  All defects and holes are filled, seams and gaps are caulked, and all surfaces are sanded where needed.  Extra dust is vacuumed and cleaned before paint goes onto the walls.  Primer is required on any bare drywall or wood prior to paint application to insure proper adhesion and any flashing.
4. Paint
–  Cutting in via brush is the first step following with rolling first coat of paint (usually working from the top down)
– Ceilings are usually done first leading to baseboards last.

- After first coat is dry a light sanding and any additional patching needed is done.  Patches are spot primed and then 2nd and final coat is applied.  Sometimes additional coats are required when light paint is applied over dark or vice versa.  Greens, reds, and yellows are very common subject to a additional third coat as the bases used to create these colors do not have great covering power.

Exterior Painting

  1. Power Washing – All surfaces being painted are strongly advised to be power washed to remove any mildew, dirt, and other materials that would interfere with proper paint adhesion.  A combination of cleaning brushes and pressure washing is the best way to prepare your exterior for paint.
  2. Surface Prep – Loose paint is scraped and removed and glossy surfaces are sanded.
  3. Painting – All bare wood is primed to offer maximum coverage. We can apply the paint using a combination of brushes and sprayers giving a uniform and quality finish. 1 or 2 coats are applied to insure a tough weather resistant finish and solid color retention that does not fade with time.
  4. Cleanup – Our job sites are kept organized at all times.  Cleanup is done at the end of everyday as well as a complete clean up at the completion of the job.
  5. Final walk through – After everything is completed there is a final walk around with the customer to insure everything is done as agreed upon and to the customers satisfaction!
